The Clouds Are Keeping Score

Witnesses to a world before dinosaurs, they have watched continents shift, oceans rise and species disappear. Ours is but one story in a library of many.

I painted this work during a period when the world felt uncertain and fragile. Watching the news, it was easy to become overwhelmed by the scale of what was unfolding. Looking up at the sky offered a different perspective.

The clouds have drifted above every chapter of human history. They have witnessed moments of joy, loss, hope, fear and change beyond counting. It made me wonder what stories they would tell if they could remember them all.
